He kept hunting until he found one. Took 2 weeks, nothing down. It arrived yesterday and I should pick it up today.<p>JohnC

You can have a locate run by your ABS, or have a car built specail order
Deposit to go and get a car or order one should be between $500 to $1000. Depending when in the month you place your order, it can be 3 1/2 to 4 months to get a car( order middle of the month - we can change a car already allocated ). Things seem to be speeding up a little, but don't count on it;-)

Well, I placed an order on June 20th. They said by October. I checked 2 weeks ago and there still wasn't a production date. They didn't take a deposit from me. But maybe because both my mom and father drive Audi's from them?

I think it was in the Len Hunt article in Audi magazine that he said Europeans are more willing to order and wait for their car, while Americans want to buy it on the spot.

I sent blk 2.7Tpsk an e-mail last week asking if he felt we might "clash" if I got the Fittipaldi Polaris wheels (17")and Dunlop sp9000's on my new machine. (No longer an option, as it happens, I suppose.)
I got the Audi, among other reasons, to be a little different from the crowd, but in the local lot lately the only exclusive thing about my A6 is that it is the only Blue one!<p>Ming/Melange
