Any have exp with HK drive+play for iPod?
Curious if anyone has it installed and what they think of it. Kind of priced high in my opinion, 199.00.<ul><li><a href="http://www.driveandplay.com">http://www.driveandplay.com</a</li></ul>

iLounge.com did a brief review...
...and liked it. One catch: they are reviewing from the iPod user's perspective and not the Audi driver's perspective. As such, they do not take into consideration some things you may be looking for (i.e., utilization of steering wheel controls, integration with OEM stereo head unit, etc.).
One other thing to consider: You'll have to add at least $70 to the cost to do the installation properly. Here's why... If you're going to do this kind of installation, it only makes sense to do a line out/in type of install (i.e., not using the FM transmitter option for your integration). The Drive&Play ONLY gives you the line out. To integrate that connection with the Audi head unit, you'll need to get something like a BlitzSafe adapter (see www.enfigcarstereo.com for details).
As an alternative, you may want to check out the Denison IceLink. See my sig for a review and installation notes.

Actually I'm looking into doing this in a couple weeks, weather permitting.
I came across a unique deal and can't pass it up ($120). But as SouthboroAudiGuy pointed out, you need to get an aux adapter to get the most of the sound quality. The built-in FM transmitter is a crap shoot. The wired FM modulator is slightly better but the quality is FM at best. Having said that, when my parts arrive I'll try to document the install the best I can and share it here. I did an extensive STFA here and came up mostly empty on the HK. The only obstacle I'll have with this setup (besides the cost) is having to find 2 mounting points for the display and the control ****. A lot of AWers find it blasphemous to clutter up the clean Audi interior. I agree and that's why it'll be a challenge to find stealthy locations for these and still keep them functional. I'm not as concerned with steering wheel controls since (eventually) I'd like to upgrade to a tip steering wheel that lacks radio controls anyway.
