"purchasing CPO warranty" - any dealers that will do it? who do you talk to at the dealership?

CPO only available for cars taht the Audi dealers sell...
...I've heard of a few instances in which a dealer wil "buy" the car the CPO it, and "sell" it back to the customer.
However, as Paulroad mentions, there is better coverage to be found. If you are still under factory warranty of the 4 years/50k miles, you can buy Audi Pure Protection. The platinum plan is exclusionary, which means coverage is good for ALL things on the car except for those specifically listed in the policy.
Other brands of warranty also have exclusionary coverage, but check you dealer or indy shop if they work directly with those warranty companies. If not, you'll have to pay for the repairs, then file for reimbursement from the warranty company.
