Curious - Do the 17" x 7.5" ET25 Allroad Rims fit on the C5 4.2's? See wheel pic.

Offset is an absolute number. It should nto change with width
In many cases, people DO recommend a lower numerical offset to accommodate a wider wheel, but when you do this, no matter how you slice it, you move the centerline of the wheel out of the pivot point of the hub, increase the scrub radius, and therefore introduce significant torques on the steering and suspension.
