help! 800 miles left on warranty, and now window lockout switch blinks

2002 A8L, the light in the rear window lockout switch blinks, (The switch between the drivers side switches for the front and back windows) no matter what position the switch is in.

Doesn't matter whether switch is up or down, everything seems to work fine... auto up on front 2 windows, auto down on all 4..

Bring it in and have them change it

The bulb/socket is just going bad due to a bad connection.....bring it in and they would love to change it for you....because it's just more billable time that they bill Audi on!

it blinks at a regular interval, it's not the socket

it must mean something.... the rate also speeds up and slows down, not exactly related to speed of car, but possibly voltage level... also some times it blinks in groups of 3...

I have the exact same problem.. if you VAG-COM it I think it says "intermittent short".

I don't think it's related to anything....

....but maybe your mother-in-law? Did you get options that we didn't?? ;-)

Really, it shouldn't blink, my old Audi sunroof light did the same thing, I think it's just a bad connector on the switch/lightbulb.....

Could be wrong, just bring it to the stealer....
