Default Euro mirrors from Stratmosphere

Has anybody gotten these mirrors from Stratmoshpere and installed them?
Are they the original equipment mirrors for TT's in Europe?
Is one half of the mirror plain and the other wide-view?
Thanks for any help. Were they hard to install?

Default Some answers..

1. I haven't.. know a few who have
2. I have no idea.. don't think so
3. About 1/4 on the outside edge of the mirror is the more curved part which gives the wider view
4. From what I hear, no. Simply pop out the old mirror and put in the new.

I am sure someone will post a link to a site that has install instructions.

Default You can also try Martyn Franklyn, Whitehouse Audi...

<mailto: "Martyn Franklin" martin.franklin@virgin.net>

My understanding is, these are std, in Europe, but only on the driver's side.
Martyn got me the UK one for the right US- passenger side) and the German unit, for the left (US - Drivers side)
They are relatively easy to un-install the OEM's and install the "Euro's".
It only requires a bit of 'finesse' to pop them loose, and pop them in place.
The 'Euro's are heated also.

A reference for you...

Boxster Aspheric Mirror Page

Default Try auditt.org for the instructions.

I got the driver's mirror in Germany last year and will get the passenger mirror this year (didn't think I'd need both..yeah right). They help tremendously in the blind spots. I believe they are standard in Europe. They are not hard to install you just must be very careful when popping them off and on that you don't break them or scratch the vehicle. My husband wrote these instructions.

How to Install the Mirrors

Default Yes and yes.

Don't know.
No, wide view the whole way, objects in mirror may be closer than they appear.
Easy to install, broke both old mirrors taking them off but not a big deal.
They come with instructions and the website has the instructions.
