should i get a DV right when i get chipped?
i wont be able to afford a DV right away, but i want to get my car chipped before i go out to the track. will the stock DV be ok with a chipped car for a month or 2?

It doesn't matter.
The only reason to go with an aftermarket DV is so that it will last longer. The new stock DVs are actually very good, and last plenty long...Sometimes longer than the aftermarket DVs.
