In Dash GPS Unit questions.....
I am sure this question has been asked before.....Does anyone out there have any suggestions for a in dash GPS Unit/CD player available....Also, if I would like to keep my CD Changer I guess I am SOL......Or......Is the Audi NAV unit available to be added on after the purchase of the car. Any and all info would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.....

OEM Nav cannot be retro-fitted. some have built-in color NAV screens...
below the climate control unit, and have removed the ash tray.

Alpine IVA-D900 + Alpine NAV
This is an indash unit that has a 7" motorized flip out screen. The unit comes with DVD/Radio/MP3 capabilities and is plug adaptable for XM radio, TV tuner, multidisc CD player, and Alpine NAV unti.
IMO this is the the absolute best you can do.
However, to get by, you could buy an iPAQ and run various GPS software programs, or just get a Garmin unit.

Alpine makes these for Chrysler. It is a pretty neat unit. GPS Navigation, Sirius Satellite radio, CD player, CD changer controls etc. Navigation is with a single DVD disc that covers the U.S. and Canada. I have one in my Jeep Liberty and wish I had one in the TT. Price is around $1395. I think my Jeep has the same CD changer as the TT. Have no idea if there is room enough for one of these in a TT. If you have the CD changer you can listen to CDs and Navigate at the same time. I am sure Jeff Bipes has seen these and could tell you if they could be used in a TT.
