Default Decision . . . decision . . . trade for new TT?

With frustration mounting over my neverending '00 TTQC woes, I've been thinking of maybe jumping on a 3.2 before the model changeover. I stopped at a dealer yesterday on the way to the Chicago Auto Show and he has two almost identical cars, one a 19k '04 and the other a brand new '06. Both are Brillaint Black over Aviator Gray quattro coupes--the only difference between them is the new one has Sirius. (They look like twins except for the satellite antenna). The sticker on the new one is 42k, and they want 35k for the CPO '04 (warranteed to 100k with the CPO).

I'm still deciding on my opinion of the DSG vs my manual, but if I would decide to trade, what numbers would be fair deals to offer and what should I really expect? Any other thoughts or comments about the trading idea? One point is certainly the $20,000+ price difference . . . another the question of buying another black car . . . then there's the unending conundrum of Roadster vs Coupe.

So I thought I'd find out what y'all thought on this sorta slow Sunday afternoon!

Thanks

Brian

Default I wouldn't rush into a new MKI TT before the MKII TTs come out. If anything, the availability of

the MKII TT will cause a price drop in our TTs (that's what tends to happen with all cars). So if you wait, you'll get an even better deal. That being said, if your issues with your current TT are so bad as to neccessitate dumping it as quickly as possible, go for it.

Default never buy new unless

you can handle the instant depreciation just driving out of the lot brings.

Gently used CPO'd is the way to go.
