use some sort of mineral spirits or a kerosene based product. Worked for me me

my wheel polish did the trick on my milltek - w/o issue....

Default I use Mother's Mag and Aluminum polish

Default 2nd. After you do that, get some 'simichrome polish'

Default that stuff is great. I found that from griot's garage a few yrs back. Question sir

how did you mount your euro plate? Tape or magnets?

I don't have a europlate. I wish I did, but the CT DMV doesn't really like those!
