I have used these guys for the last couple of years without issue. Praised by the dealers.

Stay away from AUL!!!
I'm currently in the process of seeking legal counsel against AUL.
My '01 A4, that I've had for 6mo, is on the ever growing list of engine sludge victims.
It's bad enough that Audi won't cover it because, being the 3rd owner of the car, I can't provide the entire maintenance history. Out of the ~70k miles on it, there's 20k that are unaccounted for.
I figured my aftermarket warranty would come to the rescue. Since that's exactly why I got it. Low and behold, AUL is playing the same card. Their contract does mention the need to keep your maintenance history. Unlike Audi, it doesn't specify that they mean the ENTIRE history. Not just since you've owned it.
This may not be a concern if your the only owner or have extensive maintenace records, but I've seen a lot of other complaints about them. One example, mentions that AUL only covers the wholesale value of the car. How ridulous is that?
These aftermarket warranties are a tough decision. There's so many companies out there, and everyone has complaints about any one that you look at. One major problem is the high turnover in the market. Companies are constantly going bankrupt. I know this first hand, the company I used for my wife's '01 Mercedes ML320 went out of business half way through my contract.

thanks for the info...
I'm thinking I'll be skipping the warranty. The cost/benefit doesn't seem to be there. With only 28K on the clock and the fact that an independent mechanic gave me a perfect bill of health I think I'm OK. I'll be sure to do all the scheduled maintenance, etc and roll the dice.

I know it's an old thread...
I Have AUL and got 4year/48k miles full coverage for 1,600. I'll be testing it out in the next few weeks as I get my dash LEDS, water temp sensor, seat clunk, radio, suspension clunk, and whatever else I can think of fixed.
Just called AUL, and despite having basic electrical, and High-tech electrical covered, they say they don't cover the instrument cluster.. that sucks.
