Vinyl on window sill is peeling

Vinyl on window sill is peeling
During hot weather, the vinyl on the inside window sill heats up and peels away from the plastic backing. When I roll up the window, it pulls the vinyl right off the door sill.
I've seen a number of other posts with this problem, but everyone was under warranty. My car has been out of warranty for two years. Has anyone figured out how to fix this problem on their own? Help!!!
(I'm assuming there must be some type of special glue that might fix this.)
