need help on cam install
I have installed new cam on my 225. after installation, the inlet cam is a bit harder to turn. is this normal after installing? normally , by turning the exhaust cam the inlet should follow but i have to turn both the exhaust and inlet cam at the same time. anyone have installed cam before? need opinion.

Yes, you do. 1= the inlet cam will be harder to turn, more valve springs (12 vs8)
2=the cams are co-rotated by a timing chain. If it is installed and not working, you have defeated the locking feature on one or both of the cam sprokets or the bolts are not properly torqued.
Honestly, if you are unaware of these things, it work behoove you to seek out an experienced person to help you. I am concerned about other important requirements like end play on the cams and proper setting of the chain guide, to name but 2.
Do you have a bentley manual or other how to book to help you along?

The cam was installed at the audi dealer so they know what the factory spec for installation. but they are not sure what is the correct feel for turning the inlet cam.
