2 more issues with my car!!! What the.....
Second Issue: Car emit a loud clunk noise and a slight jerk on the wheel while braking. This doesn't happen all the time....it just happens maybe 5 times out of a day of driving that lasted 40 minutes. Now the thing is I don't know if it's the brakes themselves or just the motion of slowing down that caused something to hit something in the suspension, tie rods, etc..
Dealership's response to first issue: Vaccum pump and card module failure. It got flooded with water. They said they found 2 leaks: first leak from the right rear passenger side light assembly, and second leak from the cable leading out to the XM antenna on the trunk. They said the 2nd one was unlikely and I think the same, because that water should drain out like if it's rain water.
Dealership still diagnosing the 2nd issue. While I stopped by to drop off all my keys so they can reprogram the locks, their tech was test driving my car in the lot with a mic wired up to record the noise. While I was there he at least went back and forth 20 times accelerating and braking hard. I know this is regular procedure to try to mimic it, but it just hurt to watch. I guess good thing is they heard the noise, not the "Cannot reproduce" excuse.
Kudos to Laurel Audi and Jim.
So they put new pads on the front (and I surely hope they put them on tight).
Yup Laurel rocks. Especially Jim Finch.
