Default Summer/Winter Setup Quandry

I've got a 2004 A6 2.7T S Line on order from the Exchange in Highland Park. I will take delivery in May when the lease ends on my current car. I ordered the car with the 17 inch wheels and all season tires. I've started to wonder if I should switch the order to the 18 inch wheels and high performance tires and then purchase another set of wheels and tires for the winter.

The practical approach would be to stick with the all season tires and smaller wheel. On the other hand, I understand that the driving experience in the warmer months would really be enhanced with the other setup. I really don't want to fuss with storing a spare set of wheels etc. at all times and changing the setup twice a year. There, do I sound ambivalent enough?

Are there tire places (or dealerships) in the area that will store your spare setup for you for a reasonable fee so that all you need to do is bring the care in when it's time to change setup?

Should I just forget about this stuff and stick with the 17 inch / all-season combination?

Default I'm pretty sure Emmons Coachworks in

Lombard offers this service. Not sure if you have to purchase your wheels from them though.

Default The Exchange will store your tires for you. If you walk back in service they have peoples tires

stored all over the place. It should be better when they move to their new facility this summer.

I'd definetly go with the 18's. If you don't you will be missing out on looks for one thing.

DO IT!

Should I get the all seasons and 17 inch wheels from Audi and buy the summer setup elsewhere or should I get the 18 inch wheels and tires from Audi and buy the winter stuff elsewhere?

Default get the 18inch from audi as they will be extreamly expensive to purchase from parts dept.

the S-line wheel is a beautiful rs4 style that is ultra expensive. there are some 16inchers that clear the s-brakes (HP2 by the way) and are really chaep. Tire rack sells ATP S5's or 5S's that are around 100.00 per rim in 16 that will clear your breaks.
