hmmm....
I have never had any problems with McGrath (either as a employee, which i once was, or now, as a customer). It is probably good that you didnt go with NTB if you truly need "recoding" of some sort, but I would check with your service advisor to make sure you are 100% on the same page as to what you are asking them to do (sounds silly but who knows.) In my experience, if the battery goes dead (the equivalent of what will happen when you take out the old and replace with the new in your car), all you have to do is re-enter the radio security code. However, my line of work included posting pics on the internet and washing the occasional car....so i may not be the guy to ask

That sounds a little steep...we replaced the battery in my old A4 for like 50 bucks from Sears...
Just go to the exchange in Highland Park im sure the price will be lower if you need a re-code or anything.
