Default How do you get temp plates?
what's the process of buying a used car? how do I go about getting temp plates (or regular plates)...do I just take the transfered title w/ proof of insurance to the dmv to register the car and get plates?

Correct. And be ready to pay sales tax, too. (I don't think insurance proof is necessary.)
