can the vibrations i feel in my 90 be caused by the car not starting properly?

Default can the vibrations i feel in my 90 be caused by the car not starting properly?

Maybe im not getting enough spark.. it seems like the car never starts properly. When the car starts, its as if it wasnt going to start, and then the engine gets going. I just changed the spark plugs like 3 months ago. Could the vibration/shaking ive been feeling in my car be caused by problems from my starter? What are the typical problems you would get if there was a lack of spark or problems with the starter?

the car is a 1990 90 auto btw

Default Don't think so.

General Audi 4 and 5 cyl trouble on start up is related to too much or not enough fuel on start up. Too much could be caused by a leaking injector/cold start valve, not enough by a loss of residual pressure due to either a small leak in a line (Very common near rear line behind pump) or a bad check valve in the fuel pump. My 80 has never started good, but I don't give a crap - I just goose the gas a bit on start up and it's fine. I've got a small leak right behind the pump, probably just enough to cause the problem - I'll fix it some year!

Change the spark plug wire, too and look for cracked engine hoses

so does your 80 actually have fuel leaking out of the tank?

One of the lines between the tank and pump, (rubber part of the line) leaks just enough to saturate the hose, but doesn't actually leak or drip - but I'm assuming it's enough to lower my residual pressure when the car sits.

in the lines when the pump is off...and even it out when it is on? If not, what is the purpose of this expensive part? THANKS!

I was always under the assumption that the fuel accumulator is supposed to keep the roller-cell fuel pump from running dry, which will kill it very quickly. I believe the pump itself actually has the check valve to hold residual pressure - or the smaller transfer pump in the tank - don't know for sure.
