Power Steering pump replaced

I have a 03, 3.0 6-speed which i picked up 6 weeks ago. I still have only 2000 miles on it. I've read a few threads about noisy power steering pumps. I only seemed to notice it when the car was hot and considering that my 96, 2.8 never made any noises I had the dealer take a look yesterday and ended up replacing the whole
pump!! My service advisor was great and he said that they noticed that the pump was noisier than usual so they replaced it.

Was it just noisy down around 1500rpms? Mine is noisy there but only when the AC is on (i.e. Econ not on), and since most other 2002 3.0s here were like this, I let it be. However, I did notice the 2003 3.0 my friend has is quiet in this situation...

It came out perfectly - great paint match and reassembly (more)

One of my main concerns was trusting a shop to correctly install the replacement doors and reinstall the existing interior door panels, glass, etc. properly. Since they were familiar with Audis, it's all great. Door alignment is spot-on. I'm not sure I would've been able to afford Karosserie out of pocket, but hey.

I know I know.. I would've gone to see your friend if I was going to pay out of pocket for it, but going through insurance, it was much easier to do it at the best place near where I work, etc...

It was definitely at lower RPM but only after having driven the car for some time. I defintely thought it was unusual since the car was quite when it was cold.
