Installed Neuspeed SS- it's great, but HOW THE $*%@ do I get the ashtray back in??

Installed Neuspeed SS- it's great, but HOW THE $*%@ do I get the ashtray back in??
I've tried every combination of pushing, pulling, turning and swearing and I CAN'T get the ashtray to pop all the way back in. Any tips? Thanks!

That would be great.
Thinking about the SS for my 6spd but my collegue's 1st and 2nd of her 1.8T 5spd are reluctent going in when cold. She went to dealer today but has to go back later this month for a follow-up. I've read many posts with 1st and 2nd gear problems on the 5spd. With the warmer months ahead of us, the problem may disapear (for now). I'm very interested on your review of the SS. Mind letting me know how much it was?
