tech question on the gas pedal and responsiveness

whenever i step on the gas pedal, it doesn't respond as it used to unless i push it halfway to the floor. and when it does respond, it doesn't accelerate as quick is as responsive as it used to be. i turned it in to my local audihaus and they checked it out; unfortunately the results were in german. they ended up ordering a gas pedal set (i'm assuming with all the other stuff that goes with it) and they fixed it, but its back to its sluggish mode. any insight is appreciated; the vag results were in german. all i understood was "halb drucken gaspedal..." something. thanks.

tiptronic? if so.. there should be a small lag in throttle response.. just the way the car was made.

thanks, thinking back, my audihaus did disconnect my battery when they replaced my cps. hmm..

it may/may not help. 1.8T? try replacing your BPV. Also, there are a few cases of bad throttle

bodies. If its a easily reproducible problem, you can always bring to dealership and show them...

i just did a search on the TBA; i'll try it but don't have vag.

yeah, 1.8t tip. i was thinking of replacing the oem bpv and was thinking of getting the evos. what do you think? also, how can i check for bad throttle bodies? the wierd thing is, in the morning when i fire up my car and drive, it responds really well.

I have my own personal opinions about BPVs. I'd go with Forge or Bailey. I'm sure the others work just as great.

As for EVO, are you referring to the EVO intake? We've had debates in the forum regard those. I am not convinced the stock air intake to be restrictive at all. Others will disagree and give their own opinion saying that EVO will improve performance.
