Anbody have a squeeky noise apparently coming from the sunroof???
When i tilt the sunroof up the squeek is elimnated when i go over road bumps or such. when i put it back down it makes the horrendous noise.
The car is tight as hell but that noise can drive me crazy.
I think its the sunroof because when i lower the tilt it makes a squeeky sort of noise when gettign totally aligned flat.

YES! I am so annoyed by it also.....
took it to dealer about a year ago and it went away and now it has been back for a while. Like you said when sunroof is tilted it does not make the horrible noise. That noise and my brakes make a ringing noise when I go over bumps.

The dealer re-greases the sunroof (m)
on my 02 A4 they said it would continue to happen and I could keep bringing it in or take silicon spray and spray the rubber around the sunroof. I did this and it solved the problem for me.

i get more like a rattle ....
taken it 3 times to the dealer and twice they said they could not replicate the problem... and one they fixed it but the noise comes back now and then ....
damn annoying ... i have to crank up the volume not to get pissed off.

Use silicone grease. I got it in a can like wd-40. To grease the sunroof gasket you just soak the entire rubber weatherstripping around the sunroof in silicone grease. You do this by spraying the silicone from the can all over the gasket. In order to do this you will need to open the sunroof. First I popped up the sunroof by pushing the dial up, then I coated all the weather stripping I could. Then I slid the sunroof open by turning the dial 3/4 of the way around and then managed to spray the rest of the weather stripping. It does not matter which method you use just as long as you coat all of the weather stripping with the silicone.
