My Rear Brake Pad Install - How-To (Pictoral)
As some of you may remember, I was asking about pads sizes last week because I just got fed up with the brake dust on my Audi - especially the rears. The fronts aren't too bad so I didn't order those yet.
Well I ordered a set of porterfield pads for the rear (AP 340T) and sure enough they do fit. The brake pads for the 1.8T/3.0 are the same.
The install was straight forward, didn't take me more than an hour to do both side, and that included getting out all my tools and cleaning up.
I just realized that I can't post more than one picture in a post here on Audiworld, so I went ahead and posted it on vortex and will link to it here.
I hope this is a useful guide for anyone who wants to change their own rear pads. I will do a front pad how to when I order some porterfields for the front. I'll also do an exhaust install how-to when I decide which exhaust I want.
