Update on 2001 A4 Oil pump failure
Hi all, you may not belive this, but AOA has decided to pay for ALL costs for repairs & replacements from my recent oil pump failure. Am having new larger filter put on the pump & synthetic oil. My cost $250 for initial diagnostics & difference in oil cost. Thanks so much for all the help from you guys. U were great. This girl's going out dancing tonight!!

I used all the advice I got from various people on the forum ( yes I now know I was on the wrong on, but B6 guys gave me much better advice), was professional in manner, had all my service records & told them I didnt think I should have to cash in my 401K to pay for something that was poorly designed & doomed to fail !!

Thnx, but was really due to one B6 guy who gave me an
incredible amount of information & a crash course on engines, oil & the history of A4 oil pump/ filter problems. Couldnt have done it without his help. U know who u are, thanks again.
