I feel stupid asking this, but can't find the engine temp sensor on my 2001 2.8. ATQ
Have read the archives and the DIY in the technical section. The sensor in my car is definitely not in the same position as the 1.8. On the left rear of the engine, there appears to be something that may be the ETS down below, but you'd need to remove the air intake and even then have the hands of a 4 year old. The air intake is bolted on and lot's of other things need to be moved, so this can't be a simple job.
Any advice or clear pictures that can help??

Yep, you're looking at the right sensor
It's a bitch to get at in the 2.8. I managed to do it with just removing the intake hose (just clamps on it) and then spent a lot of time cursing and swearing trying to get the c-clip out that holds it in. Good luck!
