Although we don't pay as much as Europe, I am still very curious to see what it will do to the car market here in America, when the most unassuming cars have WAY more horsepower than they need, and so many tons of vehicles are being moved around with no occupants inside...
These might be the best years in terms of car offerings for some time to come (I hope not), but I think the days of marketing driving the amount of horsepower in vehicles rather than the actual need for the extra power will have to change... I think that this is fact is what has increased the demand without any economic production to show for the extra consumption...
I'm curious to know what you guys think...
I write this because Audi's new lineup of engines on their new cars are SO diametrically opposed to the logic that future gas prices will increase, larger engines that consume more are not necessary given that we know how detuned these engines really are... Marketing, you gotta love it...
