No display - Solid Red Stereo

Please help, i had to remove my stereo and when i put it back in i only get a solid red light. no safe message or place to put my security code in. could someone please help. i do not want to go to the dealer and pay an arm and a leg for this PLEASE!

Pull the radio fuse out, wait 10 seconds, put it back in.

Its true, works every time. I told the Audi Dealer it happened to me and they replaced the radio

Same here.

Once pulling the fuse didn't work though. Dealer said that there is a fuse in the back of the radio that blew.

I tried pulling the fuse out of the back of the stereo out and waited 10 secs and no luck. do i need to pull the fuse out of the fuse panel for 10secs. what fuse it is?

Pull the one out of the dash.

If that doesn't do it, you probably need a new head unit.

Ok, i pulled the one out of the dash with many different scenarios (radio off, car off, radio on, car on, etc) and no luck.
when i put the fuse back in the radio display gets bright red and then back to normal color red but still nothing is displayed. just a blank red screen.
i wonder if my radio is broken. i checked all the fuses and none are bad.

replacing the radio

when you replaced the radio did you have to get a new amp? i have thought about replacing the radio but i am afraid that i will not be able to use all the speakers and that i may have to get a new amp. let me know what needs to be done in order to replace the radio. thank you,
