Vacation Planning - Montreal, Quebec City, Toronto

Vacation Planning - Montreal, Quebec City, Toronto
ok, no french jokes.
Looking to do a short driving vacation to Canada.
Deciding between Quebec City, Motreal or Niagara/Toronto. Have wife and 6month old.
We're into the outdoors, site-seeing, museums, off the beaten path stuff. Casinos and nightlife are probably out for this trip.
I've been to toronto and niagara but the wife has not. Watkins Glen and seneca would be destinations should we choose that. I speak a little high-school french if that matters in quebec or not.
Where to stay, what not to miss would be helpful and of course, which city is best in September. Or is it worth visiting all three. It's a long drive between QC and Toronto.
