Is there any other way besides Vag-Com to reset the service soon message in the trip comp?

For some reason I cannot get my Vag to communicat with the car to reset it. Or if there is someone in the Western LI area that can help me out It would be appreciated.

mine never comes on....it has been 20K since i got my car it has not gone on once and i dont take it

to the dealer
