Plug for Good MD Service Shop
Rockville Automotive & Truck, 301-881-3200, in Rockville. Have brought my 02 A6 4.2 in for 70K and 80K service. Low cost ($130-180), did all items, but told me which items they thought didn't need to be done, such as brake fluid and ribbed belt since they looked fine. Recommended waiting until next service.
This shop is no frills but incredibly honest, I've only done scheduled service with them but value and reliability is exceptional. Dealer and "European shops" charge $400-$1,000 for service at these mileages. And I'm selling my A6 soon (anyone interested ??) for a new minivan, so I have no personal interest in plugging them.

1 child and another on the way ... yeah, not my preference, and my wife especially will miss the A6, but sometimes gotta do what you must. We do alot of weekend roadtrips, and it just won't work w/2 car seats in back. And an A8 with roof pod would just be wrong .....
