What is "SAFE" mode for the locking/alarm which we don't have in NA?

Are you talking about SAFE displayed on the radio?
If so, that's the theft prevention stuff. You should have the code to unlock it in the front of your owner's manual, or in the stereo manual.

No.. it's one of the VAG Com settings
Apparently something in europe where after a certain period of time sitting there locked the interior door lock switches cease to function and some other stuff. Just trying to get all the details.
Any input would be appreciated.. Someone with a UK manual would be good.
