Anyone know if the Code Alarm CA330 add on will work on our cars? TIA!!
My car has been broken into multiple times by people breaking the lock. I definitely need to add an alarm, but I want something that arms and disarms with the factory key. The CA330 seems to do that, but I'm just worried that the alarm will still disarm when the lock is forcefully turned. Any ideas? Thanks!<ul><li><a href="http://webappshttp.voxdmz.audiovox.com:1025/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/ProductDisplay.jsp?catalogId=10001&storeId=100 01&productId=10156&langId=-1&desc=Security%20Systems">Code Alarm CA330</a></li></ul>

It won't if you wire the alarm lead to the door switch itself. This is what I have done.
With any alarm, there *should be* a lead that will trigger the alarm if the lead goes to ground or hot.
connect this lead to both door switches. You can get at this door switch wire in the foot well, behind the triangle shaped plastic pices at your feet.
Then no matter what happens to the factory alarm, by opening the door, the after-market alarm will trigger.
Make sure this alarm has that function.
The user manual does not specifically say this.

I don't know much about wiring alarms, but what I'm concerned about is...
Since using the key disarms the factory alarm, and the aftermarket alarm works with the factory keyless, will the aftermarket alarm also disable when the lock is turned? Any info will be appreciated. Thanks!

if you want to use just one remote, use the alarm remote to lock/unlock doors instead of the key fob
The key will just be used for starting the car. Wire the aftermarket alarm to the door switches as Jeff says so that even if the lock is punched and disarms the factory alarm opening a door will still trigger the aftermarket alarm. Then wire the door lock/unlock outputs of the aftermarket alarm to arm/disarm/lock/unlock the factory alarm. Wired this way, you should be able to use any aftermarket alarm.
