Adding spare wheel/tire into rotation?
I've got the regular 18" Avus wheels and Conti's on now, and I just curbed the absolute shiznit out of my back rear wheel. I'm thinking of taking the spare out and either changing out tires for the existing wheel or using the spare tire, which is of course the same Conti. I've got 5,800 miles on the car. Is this too late to add a new tire into the rotation with the older tires?

Hmm, 5800 miles is right at the mark.
Your dropping the car off next week, right? Or was it this week?
I'd ask Rog and see what he says about the minimum rotation diameter difference between side to side. I think you can put that spare on and be fine. But it's right at the point where you may need to buy a new tire. I can't imagine though. FRom what I remember seeing, your conti's looked like they were in pretty good shape. Which means, you probably have some pretty good tread depth left.

It's going in Wed and I did call and book Roger for the work. I'll ask him that question. I am no way in hell buy a new conti! I'll live with the rash for a while if I have to.
