I'd still say around $75k for starters if not $80k....

We still don't know what loaded means? Will DVD Nav be standard? otherwise $2500 opt? We won't get the seats, the stearing wheel, or the 19" rims. Just posted down a few that a B7 3.2 Quattro loaded without Nav was $46K or almost $49k with Nav, no dealer add ons either! Can't then beleive the B7 S4 will come in for $55k, probably $60k plus options and thus the RS4 for $75k plus.

Color on RS4 would be for metalic and pearl $450-600extra, trim? Carbonfiber $300, seats upgraded leather as there is no Alcantara being offered $1000? 19" wheels and tires? $1000+, and NAV? $2500.

So that would put an RS4 starting at $70k at $75300+ Gas guzzler $1500? = $76800 + tax tag destination prep or around $80K

My opinion, we'll see what happens

I agree, also will Parktronic, rear airbags,and tiremonitering be std or opt?...

also will we get(probably not) the glovebox cooler and solarsunroof which the rest of the world can get now on their S4. Audi should offer a RRS4 with everything and I mean everything! no add ons even for color at one price $70K, you go in find your color or order, pay/lease and thats it! Right now what we will get will not get me into the dealer to trade up, for what 80hp? and a few miniscule changes, NO NO NO! and not at that price and No Avant either for us? Stupid Stupid Stupid AOA and Audi.

I have an Avant which for the numbers brought in in 04 is rarer than the RS4 will be and with a SC at a reasonable price I could get more power than the RS4 as well, and still have money in my pocket, albeit without warrenty which will have run out before then anyway.

Apparently not when the price for the B7 S4 is flirting with $60,000 mark. :-/

That puts it in RS6 territory and...

after the initial "gotta be the first guy on the block" sales were over, it wasn't that hard to get one. What makes Audi think they can sell these things for anything near $80k?

But there is no more RS6 new, and when one does come it will be $100k+....

The Euro is killing us European car byers, Audi would love to sell us the RS4 for $60-65K but can't, they are susidizing the US market as is.

Look at Mercedes,

SLK55 $68k, SLK350 $49k, C230 $37k, C240 $45k, C320 $50k, E55 $117k+, SL55/65 $160k/198k, these cars were all 20-30% cheaper a few years ago
