High PSI

I have a 98 A4 quattro turbo and i just installed my new Apexi boost gauge and am surprised to see that when i hit full boost i am running between 1.0 to 1.3 bar!!! which if im correct is between 15 and 18 PSI.... please correct me if im wrong, as it seems to me like a little to much boost for my car to be running....

Although.... my car was chipped and fitted with a k&n air filter.... still to me 1.3 bar is a ****load of pressure for my engine to be under.

Can anyway tell me if this kind of PSI is normal for a chipped audi? or is it boosted up way to high?

Any feedback would be appreciated.

15psi is pretty normal for a chipped A4

spiking to 18psi initially is also pretty normal.

should find that it drops back to about 15psi almost straight away.

Um im not sure what chip i have.
As the car was already chipped before i bought it. but i think the reciepts are in my car so i will check em out and see.
