Please find below details of the first Annual General Meeting for Club Audi Victoria - One year old already!
As per the Associations Incorporation Act (1981) [Hereafter referred to as the AIA - 1981] this notification of the Annual General Meeting conforms to the minimum 14 day notice requirement to all members via electronic means - the chosen method of communication for Club Audi Victoria inc.
Date: Thursday 17th June Time: 7:30 pm
Location: 120 Fairbairn Road Sunshine West VIC 3020
As per the AIA - 1981 the President shall reside as Chairperson at the annual general meeting and the business of the annual general meeting shall be -
(a) To confirm prior annual general meeting minutes - this will be easy!
(b) To receive from the committee reports upon the transactions of the Club during the preceding financial year.
(c) To elect officers of the Association and the ordinary members of the committee
(d) To receive and consider the statement submitted by the Association in accordance with the section 30(3) of the Act.
The Annual General Meeting may conduct any special business of which notice has been given. - No special business has been noted for this AGM.
As per the AIA - 1981 elections will be held for all committee positions. These include:
President
Vice President
Secretary
Treasurer
Social Secretary
Nominations of candidates for election of these officers of the Association must be made in writing, signed by two members of the Association and accompanied by the written consent of the candidate and delivered to the Secretary not less than 7 days before the Annual General Meeting on the 17th of June 2004. A candidate may only be nominated for one office - these requirements are in accordance with the AIA - 1981 [Please see the attached copy of the AIA - 1981 so that all members are fully aware of their rights]
As the club is still in its infancy all existing officers will re-stand in their current roles to help maintain and promote club stability - however nominations are welcome in accordance with the above.
Please note that you must be a full financial member of Club Audi Victoria inc. to nominate or vote (whether in person or by proxy) at the Annual General Meeting. However, we encourage all interested parties to attend and show their support for the club.
Please bring along any ideas you may have for advancing the club, activities etc... as we are always looking for ways to grow the club and to ensure we offer something for everyone.
The club will provide pizza's or equivalent and non-alcoholic beverages. Additionally this AGM is being held at a private place of business with the good wishes of the business owner - please respect the property of the owner. We want to be invited back!
Following the AGM - 'Ronin' (M rated) will be screened in the boardroom theatre for all those who love watching Audi S8's driven as they were intended
