Can the sensitivity of the servotronic steering be adjusted with a VAG-COM?

Some guy on vwvortex was saying that the sensitivity of the Jetta V's and A3's servotronic system could be adjusted at the dealer. Got me wondering...

That would be nice. Steering realy sucks compaired to the B6.

How so Dano? I don't see that, but...

...my B6 didn't have sport suspension and the B7 does. And I remember the B6 being very good, and assumed it was very close to this. Isn't it? Maybe a touch of vagueness on center, but I assumed that was perception - my B6 had performance tires on it last time I drove it and the B7 came with all seasons which I left on.

I do notice it being much more assisted at low speed and much firmer at higher speeds. Not a bad thing, though.

I feel you too.....

I briefly owned a B6 USP A4 for about 500 miles. I had to take it back because of fraud. Anyhow, I just picked up my new B7 A4 QT and I find the steering to be vague sometimes. I don't know if it's the grooves on the road or, the tires needing air. Eventhough I get that feeling, the steering is still tight, and all this only happens when cruising straights sometimes. It's a weird setup. However under hard cornering, it's what a car with Quattro should feel like, very solid and good feedback.
