ECU

Thank you for welcoming me to this forum. I am interested in buying an after-market ECU from APR.

I am inquiring if this ECU will be undetectable during regularly scheduled maintenance. That company says that it can be reset to factory specs but I will like to know if anyone has experienced this. I do not want to void the warranty of my car. I have driven an Audi with that ECU and was impressed by the low-end torque and acceleration. Sorry no top-speed runs that day...

Programming is all done through the OBDII port.

There's no physical ECU which you get.
It's just software that's uploaded to your existing ECU.

Call your local APR dealer and ask them all the questions. They'll be happy to explain all the details with respect to warranty concerns, and switching in/out of stock programming.

There's TONS of information in the archives here as well with respect to the dealer detection of the APR program.
