Softer Ride
I hope to find a softer ride as the local roads are shaking my 2000 to pieces. Will there be any fit issues?
-16's fit.
-16's are too ugly and small
-changing to larger tires will not really improve the comfort
-tires are not generally super soft or the would fall apart
-tires are manufactured to have a general stiffness across most sizes(unless the tire size is like a 35)
-Keep your 17's
-replace suspension with coilovers (same price as 16's with new tires)
-revamp the suspension feel of your car by replacing all extra suspension bits and lubing them up quite a bit on a regular interval
---Parts Needed---
ST Coilovers(very nice from my experience) made my ST/KW(top brand)
Tire rod end links (FL/FR)
Sway bar end links (FL/FR/RL/RR)
Sway bar bushings (FL/FR/RL/RR)
Strut bushings/bearings (FL/FR)
Control arm bushings (FL/FR/RL/RR)
All of this will cost you around $1000 shipped and will be easy to install as long as you are doing the suspension part your self(all of the above components are directly swapped while doing the coilovers). Get an alignment directly after and your car will feel like butter again.
