Strange noise from rear wheel well
Sometimes when I shut my 05 off and exit the car I can hear this weird noise coming from my drivers side rear wheel well; it sounds like a motor running and lasts for about 5-7 seconds after I shut off the ignition. It only happens once in a while, any ideas what this is, I am not getting any warning lights on dash or anything like that. Thanks

Design feature...
it's the parking brake motor activating from time to time to calibrate itself for proper clamping. Over time, the related positioning reading the car's electronics gather is used to trigger the instrument cluster when it concludes your rear pads are close to done.
