$100 to the person who can...
Turn off my check engine light. I have a light on for the EVAP system, charcoal canister. There are zero drivability issues and I'm not entirely concerned with the environment enough to replace my charcoal canister. 
I just want to shut the light off which I gather is something that can be done through VAG COM?
I'm in Chicago and willing to pay anyone who can shut this off $100. I'll even drive to you.

I believe the OP is asking for the function that is keeping the kight on to be disabled. Illinois does not have any regultions regarding CEL's. They may very well have a tax on them when lit though!

clearing the code
I call my A4 the hypocondricar, the CEL comes on for bogus reasons about once every 500 miles. You don't need a VAG-com to clear a CEL you can buy a code reader for $50 or most Auto-Zone stores will let you borrow theirs (at least in MA). Once you plug it in you can just hit erase and the light will go out.... until the sensor that set it off trips again. If it is a real problem and it keeps coming back you should get it fixed but if I drove to Audi every time that light went off I wouldn't get anywhere.

I can clear the code. The problem is that it comes back within 5 minutes of the vehicle being started.
I want someone to actually change the code to not trigger the MIL which is something I gather you can do with a VAG COM.

Just wondering, about how much does the "charcoal filter" cost? Admittedly I'm ignorant of it's cost, purpose and easy or lack of easy access.
Since you are willing to pay $100 to trick the system, I assume the filter replacement cost is significantly more than that.
I have a RossTech adapterh, but I wouldn't have a clue how to manipulate that code.
