Air suspension problem update...
My indie shop disconnected the driver's side front airbag line (that was the side that sits about an inch lower before starting and raising the car) and they attached an air line w/ valve that they have to inflate the strut bag independent of the suspension system. That strut leaked down so is indeed the problem.
When my right front failed in 2021 I bought an RMT re-man strut because their price is so much less than Arnott, and some AW members had tried RMT and gave them a thumbs-up. The right front RMT is still performing perfectly so I just ordered one for my left front. That's $240 VS $1100 for an Arnott re-man ! You have to pay an up front $100 core charge, but they include a return shipping postage label and when I send them my broken strut they will refund my $100.
The only downside is that they did not have a rebuilt one on the shelf so a few days are going to be added to the time line while they rebuild one of their cores. The 'X' factor to a re-man strut is of course the condition of the shock damper which doesnt get replaced. RMT say that they dont use a core with a leaking shock and that they test the damping ability of the strut to make sure it is with in their acceptable range...so at least it's not total a pig-in-a-poke situation.

Great looking Rims. My left front strut went out on my A8L, then a month later the right one went out too. I replaced both fronts air struts from an aftermarket place in Ft Lauderdale FL. (Ebay) They work perfect and fitment is spot on. $440 plus labor to have them put on. No issues as of today.
