Guardex DS-1 vs Blizzak LM22
I live in rural Canada and drive snow and ice all the time but dry road noise,wear and handling are also important.
I bought them on the strength of our experience in bad weather with the original Blizzak on my wifes GSX. Of course the original tires werent long wearing or crisp handling on dry roads, but the impression I have is the LM22 was developed to improve these areas.
Guardex is a Yokohama tire (and very good one, I've been happy
with the Yoko Guardex 600). AFAIK, there isn't a DS-1 model Guardex;
there is, though, a DS-1 *Graspic*, which is a Dunlop tire. Is that
what you mean, and if so, what's the previous model?

I am running the Dunlop Wintersports - I believe they are a great ice tire. Not a lot of experience with snow (mild winter last year in CO) but think they could be better.
