Dunlop 5000s vs. RS-As and sizing considerations
I've been looking for a year-round performance tire and am leaning towards the Dunlop 5000s but want to get more input. My biggest concerns are cornering/handling, snow/rain traction, and quietness vs. the RS-As. Could anyone give input on this? Also, I considered moving to the 225-50-16s from the 205-55-16s (RS-As). My intentions are improved cornering grip/less body roll with a slight decrease in winter traction. I'm from the southern philly suburbs and have been told the winters here are pretty mild. I really want to get the best handling sports tire available that can still handle the occasional snowfall.
Thanks!
Thanks!

RS-As are great in the snow and the wet ...
... I ran them for six years (two sets) on my '96 A4, and they performed well even in knee-deep snow. They also saved my life once when I had to make a panic stop on a rainy day. I don't know how the Dunlops are in comparison, but the Goodyears also gave decent performance on dry roads as well. I'm thinking of putting them on my new car as my winter tires.

I'll be picking up the Dunlop Sport 5000s (Asy) within the week and
will post the results soon. I have the RSAs now and have been unimpressed with their performance, specifically in wet. They tend to lose grip rather quickly (although predictedly) which is not good for me. I had them on my former car that had Goodyear Eagle GAs and found the GAs to have better grip than the RSAs in the snow. If you are not a performance oriented driver then I can see how the RSAs would be perfectly reasonable but I tend to drive more spirited and find the RSAs lacking overall. Thanks for the input though. What tires did you have before the RSAs?
