Didn't realize what was going to happen with this one.
I'm not worried about 'optimistic' numbers.
Just would want consistent numbers when making a mod, to see I'm getting what the manf. says we should get.
Peace y'all !!!!! ;- )
See you all tonight....

Kurt, if you are interested in before and after gains
just use the dynojet, as long as you run both in the same day, and try to allow equal length cool downs before the before and after.

That should be fine then...
If you use the same dyno, always, to measure differential rather than absolutes, it shouldn't really matter all that much, so long as you don't try to draw conclusions about other cars based on other dynos.
I will say also that the dinky little brake on the dynojet can't possibly simulate a real world load, so it's not much good for power reference either. It will "err" in favor of the manufacurers, if that's what you intend to test.
As Brian said, watch Dan Harman and his folks carefully. They're relatively new to this stuff, and they make some mistakes sometimes.

That could happen as follows...
Marc had a couple of R32 customers in on the MAHA. They didn't like the "low" results so they went over to Dan's to get happy numbers from the Dynojet...
The numbers were "the same" in so far as the MAHA's crank numbers were roughly "equivalent" to the Dynojet's wheel numbers. Of course, that's not even close to "the same" really.

I'm talking out of my ***? LOL How many times have you dyno'd your car at Harman? I have over 30 pulls there on 5 different days. How many times have you dyno'd your car total? I have well over 100 pulls on my car. How many differnt dynos has your car been on? Mine has been on 4. When you dyno'd on both dynos were they on the same day? Mine was when I compared the 2. Same conditions? Now STFU before you make yourself look like an idiot.

<rolls eyes>Yeah</rolls eyes>
Other than the software and exhaust what mods require a dyno? And alot of pulls... cool, good for him. That means nothing to compare dynos. If it isn't on the same day, same conditions, same tank of gas, etc, etc, you are wasting your time.
