Default Never been to the speedway...

I have crewed for races at PIR (Phoenix Intl Raceway)..the Vegas track. I have driven at Laguna, Sears Point, Thunderhill, Buttonwillow, Willow Springs, Spring Mountain (Pahrump), and Second Creek in Denver.

If it weren't so far..I might do CA Speedway...infield and part of the oval correct?

Default For the NASA races/HPDE? I dunno...definite maybe

I might be able to teach in group 1/2...might be too late. I was gonna race at Laguna..but I cancelled..cause I don't have time in my schedule for a three day event....but one day..I might be able to swing.

Default It'll vary

At a minimum you need gas, a helmet, food/water, and entry fee.

Depending on just how competitive, agressive, or how long you're driving for, you'll have other necessities. The track can be pretty hard on brakes and tires especially. Carrying around an extra set of brake pads/rotors is usually a pretty good idea.

From there on it's really up to you on what you're willing and able to spend. This racerfactory event is very affordable at only $275 for 2 days. If you're reasonably local to the track in Rosamond, then you can usually skip staying at a hotel and just drive up in the mornings.
