Default Using a German Licence Plate on a California Car?
I would like to put a "german" licence plate on the front (only) of my A6.....

Does anyone know about the legality of such a plan?

What if I put my real CA plate numbers on it??

Any comments?

Default my roommate has a euro front plate that has his actual plate numbers/letter on it
he hasn't had any problems between OC and SD.

Technically it is not legal. But most cops won't pull you over for it. Only a fix-it ticket.

Default I've even gone through check points without hassles
I have a german front plate that matches the cal's plate...50k miles later and no hassles...been up and down the state and even meter parked in San Francisco without a ticket. Meter maids routinely write time violation as well as expired tags causing me to think non-standard plates are overlooked as long as they match the rear plate.
