OnStar Telematics
I know that this option was discontinued on all Audi models for MY2005. The OnStar on all Audi models was either 100% analog or dual mode digital/analog. OnStar is coming out with a 100% digital OnStar system in February of 2008. This 100% digital OnStar coverage will be available worldwide, even in areas where digital coverage in normally unavailable.
Is this why Audi discontinued the OnStar option for all of their models? If so, they probably didn't want a telematics system in their vehicles that would be outdated and useless in a few years time.
Will Audi once again offer OnStar Telematics as an option come 2-08? Or, will Audi eventually come out with their own 100% digital telematics system (again, with digital coverage available worldwide, even in areas where digital coverage is normally unavailable)?

I doubt that Audi will offer OnStar again
IIRC they only did offer it because of a lawsuit they (or better VW) lost against GM. They will more likely offer better (BT) phone intergration and propably TMC traffic messages integrated into their MMI systems in future cars.
