Default DFW windshield chip repair?

Hi. Due to the ongoing construction on 35E I already have two windshield chips (or "pits") on my brand new car. They are only about 1-2mm in size but they are in my line of sight and drive me crazy.

Pretty much every place I've asked (including SafeLite) has said they can't be fixed.

I'm still holding out hope... Does anyone know of a shop or detailer that can fix windshield chips?

Thanks.

Check your favorite Lowe's parking lot any weekend.
We've had good luck, even fixed our motohome.
Free, they'll call you your insurance Co to verify coverage.

I've had those small chips and was told the same thing. If they are telling you they can't be fixed, well, you're stuck with them. Most insurance glass coverage will not replace a windshield unless the chips are a minimum size and in your line of sight. You could try and see what your insurance company says - maybe you'll get lucky..

Found their card, they came to our motorhome to do the 2 repairs.
