How was TDE@TWS this weekend? Since I missed the fun, fill me in :-)...

I had a blast. I'll do it again when time/money permits.
Sunday was wet, and perfect for AWD.
There were a lot of cars off the track, however. Some were broken, but most were simply poorly driven. I spoke with several other people that had torn up cars recently. I hear that TWS runs its own events and has a better safety record. I might try them next time.

https://forums.audiworld.com/tt/msgs/1224496.phtml</a

Re: Lots of fun, the rain made it even more fun...
2.34 is a little on the slow side - 2.10 to 2.15 would be a better target in the wet. The spec Miatas are right at 2 flat in the dry,(the fast ones!) and about 5 seconds slower in the wet. I have done around 2.12 in my .:R32 in the wet, and in my street legal non spec Miata about the same.
You learn to be a lot smoother in the wet - especially turns 4 & 6! There really wasn't any puddles in Larry, Moe, & Curley this time out, when that puddles up the lap times really get much slower. I hope you enjoyed yourself, I was carless that time, but drove my students GTI & STI as well as a friends S2000. I hope to have the Miata back together for the PCA event next month!

Re: Lots of fun, the rain made it even more fun...
It was uber-fun. Rain made it interesting. It was my first time in the rain.
I was right on DM-S4's bumper during that timing, so i made the same time according to Tom. I definately felt like i "could" go faster, i just didn't want to. I was already at full butt clinch mode.
Carl, you should have stayed for the last run. It was only damp, not wet, and many people left... so it was wide open track.
